Family Update! 3/2/2014

Audrey update-

Audrey is at a really fun age right now, where everyday there are new things she says and does that make me smile.  Here are a few things she has said and done recently:

1.  I ask her if she has gone poo poo and she replies "Not Yet"
2.  She was playing with one of my headbands and I heard a snap, I looked over at her and she hastily drops the broken headband on the ground and says "wha happen"
3.  All the time, Audrey likes to ask us "whas that?" and whenever we tell her she replies "great job"
4.  Sometimes when I am tired Audrey will ask me "Whas wrong mommy?" and it always makes me smiles and to that she replies "thas bedder".

She has such a sweet and spunky personality, I just love her like crazy!

                              Josh and I update-

Audrey LOVES Mickey and all his friends!
Josh was promoted :) He is now a lead worker at ISU and it's not a huge raise but any raise is better than none! Josh also has decided to switch his Master to the MPA program (Master of Public Administration).  I am so proud of him being at the top of his classes for this program, he has worked really hard to get there!

I also switched my major to a Psychology Major.  I was thinking that I would only be able to get an associate degree but after reevaluating, I found out that with one more full time year of school I could get a Bachelors Degree in Psych. so that is what I am doing!

She loves to play in boxes, and she loves to play with papa!

6th Anniversary & Mommy Moment

This year for our sixth anniversary I surprised Josh with a little trip down to the Lava Hot Springs zip line.  We had a super awesome time until we were pulled over on the way back for speeding and we got a ticket for our tail light being out.

MOMMY MOMENT

You always hear about all the wonderful and cute things that moms tell about their kids, but how about those other moments that only mothers can have.  I am talking about the moment I had just a little bit ago...

Audrey and I were outside and I was sitting down relaxing while she was running around the yard playing.  When she came closer to me I noticed that she had a gigantic stinky accident in her diaper and I also noticed that she had played with it.  This accident was so big, it was oozing out onto the pavement and onto her shoes.  It's the kind of accident where it's so messy you don't even know where to start and you find yourself asking questions like, "oh my goodness, how did this happen" and "how did it get EVERYWHERE".  I'm even finding it in weird places like her armpit. So I ended up just throwing her in the shower, shoes and all, and just rinsing her off.  I then peel her clothes and diaper off and rinse her again.  Afterwards I had to bleach her shoes, the bath tub, and everything "it" touched.

Our little escape artist

Escape 1:  I had placed Audrey in nursery and gone to Sunday school, when mid-way through I got up to go to the bathroom and guess who I bump into in the hallway...Audrey of all people.  By the time I found her the Nursery people realized that she was missing and came out to find her thank goodness.

Escape 2: It was my first time using my membership card and Audrey's first time being in the gym day care for a full workout. I had already worked out for an hour when in the corner of my eye I saw someone sprinting out into the parking lot.  When I looked over I saw my little girl wondering around in the parking lot then one of the day care workers scooped her up into their arms and ran back inside.

At this point I was in complete shock. I was thinking; did that really just happen or am I just worrying... no that seriously just happened, my one-year-old daughter was just wondering the parking lot and next to a fairly busy street.  WHAT THE HECK WAS SHE DOING OUTSIDE!!! So I ran downstairs and stormed into that day care and yelled, "WAS MY DAUGHTER REALLY JUST WONDERING THE PARKING LOT?".  All three women in there were apologizing and trying to explain that an eight year old boy kept opening the door and let Audrey out.  I really didn't want to hear it and just yelled, "WHAT THE HECK I WRONG WITH YOU!!! YOU GUYS SHOULD BE WATCHING HER!"

Harlem Family Shake!

My mother is a funny lady! She really steals the show in this dance.  My dad makes me laugh  looking like a crazy old man dancing next to her in his red robe and ear muffs.  Then there is Josh in the background high riding his shorts with is super sweet dance moves (one of the many reasons I married him as you can see).  Then we've got Adam dropping his booty in the back, and Randy breaking it down all over the place.  And don't forget me getting my crazy on.

The Third night I ate at my first Japanese
Steakhouse. So good!
We left from Idaho Falls and we ended up missing our second plane because the our first plane had to be deiced.  When we got to Orlando we ate at Jack's Place, which was the best fine dining I have ever had!

At Universal I volunteered Josh for a show
We saw lots of shows including Fear Factor live, Animals on location Live (as shown), Disaster, and Horror Make-up Show

We went on all the crazy thrill rides (After which I have decided that I may be getting too old and dizzy to ride them )

one of the many movie props all over the park

Florida is Beautiful.  Lots of plants, animals, and water.  But boy is it humid!

They still had Christmas decor up

Hogwarts was AMAZING!! Even though the line was long, the line was just as cool as the ride itself! They really make you feel like you are in hogwarts!
SO much food on our cruise!

BAHAMAS

Parasailing! We also got to go snorkeling, jet skiing, boating, and we got to go on a banana boat ride.

Shopping in Bahamas
We had such a fun time on this trip! It was CRAZY fun! We got to know so many good people and it was so awesome to learn about and experience different cultures and lifestyles. Being on the cruise was like getting a taste of what it is like to be weathly... the service was amazing.  We could go to any show or class and eat anything at anytime anywhere and they took care of everything.  Only problem was I got pretty seasick the first day.

Coming home was not as nice.  Josh and I didn't get to sit by each other on either flight between orlando and denver.  Our plane had minor problems so we were stuck sitting in that cramped hot and humid space longer (they put me and josh in middle seats) while they fixed the problem.  Our second flight to Idaho Falls was almost an hour delayed because of the deicing. We were missing Audrey like CRAZY so this was very hard for us.  But we made it back, and it is nice to be home with Audrey again.

Year # 4

This was us 4 years ago, WE'VE BEEN MARRIED 4 YEARS! While 4 years may not be forever, it sure has flown by.

It's a GIRL!

This is a Picture of Baby Audrey Lynn Peterson! We are over the halfway point (boy that went fast) and we are getting excited to meet her!

WE'RE PREGNANT!

I tested positive April 4th

Our baby at 10 1/2 weeks
Josh and I have almost been married 4 years now and for almost two years we have tried to start a family.   Due to my medical issues we were only having miscarriages.  After several doctors visits,  medications, and nearly two years depressing and stressful results, I decided to give it a break for a while.  Not long after I gave up,  I started to feel pregnancy signs again.  I didn't think much of them since I was use to losing the baby soon after the sings came.  I waited a little longer, and the signs were still around, so I took a test.  I tested positive but didn't tell anyone.  A week later I tested positive again, so I told a few family members (so If I lost it I would only have a few people to tell).  I reached 10 weeks (the longest I had ever held a baby) and received the ultrasound above.  It was this appointment that the doctor told me that the heartbeat was so strong that the chance of losing the baby was only at 4%.  After that I was excited to share the news with everyone, and now I am in my 2nd trimester!  I feel sick and tired all the time.  The more I eat the better I feel, but food has lost all flavor for me and it's harder to find things to eat.  I have only thrown up 3 times (which is amazing for my family) so far but each time I break the blood vessels around my eyes.  Also for the first time all my blood test are actually coming back normal and I've been able to get off my medications! Josh and I are so excited to become parents, and we are looking forward to see our baby again on week 20!

Beautiful girl!
Another beautiful girl!

Kyle! (Justine's hubby)
My hubby :)
Last weekend there was an open house and a farwell in Boise, so naturally I will use any excuse to visit Boise.      I hastily leaped out of southeastern Idaho, and into a magical land that I call home.  It was so nice I didn't even have to wear a light jacket! We took Scooter on a walk along the green belt right up next to the Boise river and it was Beautiful! The best part was getting to visit some of the people that I love the most, I miss them dearly already. It won't be long before I will come up with another excuse to visit again :)
