New Family Pictures with the Petersons

In case you didn't notice, I cut all my hair off! I was just wanting a change and went to get a nice shoulder length haircut, and this is what I got.  It is much shorter than I wanted in the back and when I came home with this hair cut, the first thing I told Josh was, "I am growing my hair back starting today".  Above are pictures I took of Audrey for the grand-kid calendars I made for Christmas presents. Audrey isn't always the easiest model for pictures, but she has such a sweet and fun personality and she is so beautiful!

Disneyland Round 2

Complimentary Tickets

For those who don't know...
Before we went on our Disneyland trip in May, I kept working on trying to win tickets and trips to Disneyland.  AFTER we returned from our trip in May, I found out that I won tickets to Disneyland.  So here is my post from our Disneyland trip last week :)


I had a $50 hotel gift certificate and a free night for Hotel Menage which is right behind Disneyland. They had an awesome pool and the best view of the park fireworks.  The way the hotel is set up, makes the fireworks so loud that many car alarms would go off in the parking lot! Never have I heard fireworks so loud, Josh and I thought someone was shooting nearby or bombs were going off when an unscheduled firework show went off at Disneyland.

Since many of the rides are in the dark, we couldn't get any good film footage on them, so I couldn't include most of the rides we went on.

Wish this video captured the ride better, but we loved the new changes to the haunted mansion.  Audrey wanted to go on it a second time right after we got off!

2 Special Birthday Girls

On Monday our little girl turned 2! We now have a little toddler, I can't believe it!
Audrey was able to celebrate her birthday the weekend before with her Aunt Christy (my awesome and amazingly beautiful older sister) .  She loves to see her cousins and had a great time with them.

Escape 1:  I had placed Audrey in nursery and gone to Sunday school, when mid-way through I got up to go to the bathroom and guess who I bump into in the hallway...Audrey of all people.  By the time I found her the Nursery people realized that she was missing and came out to find her thank goodness.  

Escape 2: It was my first time using my membership card and Audrey's first time being in the gym day care for a full workout. I had already worked out for an hour when in the corner of my eye I saw someone sprinting out into the parking lot.  When I looked over I saw my little girl wondering around in the parking lot then one of the day care workers scooped her up into their arms and ran back inside.

At this point I was in complete shock. I was thinking; did that really just happen or am I just worrying... no that seriously just happened, my one-year-old daughter was just wondering the parking lot and next to a fairly busy street.  WHAT THE HECK WAS SHE DOING OUTSIDE!!! So I ran downstairs and stormed into that day care and yelled, "WAS MY DAUGHTER REALLY JUST WONDERING THE PARKING LOT?".  All three women in there were apologizing and trying to explain that an eight year old boy kept opening the door and let Audrey out.  I really didn't want to hear it and just yelled, "WHAT THE HECK I WRONG WITH YOU!!! YOU GUYS SHOULD BE WATCHING HER!"

Harlem Family Shake!

My mother is a funny lady! She really steals the show in this dance.  My dad makes me laugh  looking like a crazy old man dancing next to her in his red robe and ear muffs.  Then there is Josh in the background high riding his shorts with is super sweet dance moves (one of the many reasons I married him as you can see).  Then we've got Adam dropping his booty in the back, and Randy breaking it down all over the place.  And don't forget me getting my crazy on.

Josh's grandma Robert's passed away last Thursday, this is his third grandparent in the last year.  Out of all of Josh's family, Joann was one of the people I have been closest to. She always gave the warmest hugs; the kind of hugs that really meant something.  She was the type of person you loved to talk to because she listened and was always sincere. She treated me like one of her own from the first time I met her. She always mailed out cards just to let you know that she was thinking of you. And she was beautiful even in her old age. We will miss her. 


Joann Roberts
(March 27, 1944 - November 15, 2012) 

Joan (Joann) Ardith Roberts, 68, of Teton, left this world peacefully in her sleep on November 15, 2012.

She is survived by her daughter Robin Erhardt, her son Allen Roberts (Gina), sisters Eva Palmer (Laird), Elaine Hill (Robert), brothers Glen Nelson (Bonnie), Norman Nelson (Dawna), Dale Nelson, her mother-in-law Marion Roberts and her brother-in-law Brent Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband Barry Roberts, sisters Barbara Atteberry (Bill), Peggy Nelson (Skip), brothers Reed Nelson and Darwin Nelson and her parents. Joann has five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Joann was a kind and generous person. She was quick to give a hug and a shoulder to cry on or just warm the room with her smile. She was a friend to everyone, even the neighborhood stray cats. Her backyard birds gave her endless pleasure.
Joann's presence in this world will be profoundly missed.

We've Moved!!! In the last 3 1/2 years that Josh and I have been married, we have moved 4 times! This is the house we plan on staying in until we are complete with our school here at ISU.  We decided to  downgrade to a cheaper place so we can think about planning a family. Thanks mom and dad for always helping us move!!!

 My brother Randy got josh and I a game called hoopla for Christmas this year, and it turned out to be a huge hit!
