Pat and Virginia, a couple we work with, took us horseback riding on their beautiful backyard mountain trail. 
Josh is riding Mingo, and I am riding Sunrise. Mingo was afraid of water and tried to run off when we crossed a stream. And Sunrise, being the oldest and proudest horse, had to be in the lead no matter what, even if that meant body slamming into other horses or sprinting off at unexpected times. We were amazed however, at how well a horse can find it's way home.
