Learning and Laughter

      Audrey is learning new things all the time and it is so fun to watch her learn and grow.  Whenever she takes a bite out of a cracker, she studies the cracker and announces what the shape of the cracker looks like (“it’s broccoli” or “it’s a rainbow” etc.).  She is also starting to pretend to read books that I have read to her.  She remembers so much of the real words that it always shocks me to hear her “reading” the words from her memory.  

      I also see Audrey working on problem solving. One example of this is yesterday at our first big play date.  Audrey watched the big kids climbing on something tall and she wanted to climb on it too. She couldn’t get up there because she was too small, so she started collecting toys to stack up so she could stand on them like a stool. Needless to say, this problem solving of hers only causes more problems for me.

      Besides her major defiant personality, she is such a sweet heart.  I haven’t seen another child who loves to give hugs and kisses and loves as much as Audrey.  During that play date mentioned above, Audrey came to me three different times in the middle of her playing just to give me a hug.  She also laughs, sings and smiles all the time, and constantly brings up family members (and friends) that she wants to see.
